Dr Rome was featured on Channel Nine's real-life " RPA" series, which captures the compelling medical dramas at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney .

A patient suffered a workplace injury and a large nail was embedded through his thumb.

Dr Rome extracted the nail and performed reconstructive surgery to repair the wound and nail bed.
