Breast Implant Revision
Breast Implant Revision is for those who have had Breast Surgery and are unhappy with the results.
Some women may choose to undergo Breast Implant Removal while others may choose Breast Implant Replacement surgery, depending on their individual needs.
This surgery can improve physical comfort due to relief from complications like capsular contracture and improper Breast Implant positioning. It can also improve the cosmetic appearance of the breasts by removing scar tissue or repositioning the Implant. The previous Breast Implant may also be replaced with a larger or smaller size, shape, or texture.
You may be considering Breast Implant Revision if you are:
- Dissatisfied with the results of previous Surgery
- Unhappy with Implant Size
- Problems with the Implant, i.e. hardening, leakage, deflation or rupture
- Complications with contracture or infection
- Implant has Shifted, rubbed, rippled or wrinkled
Dr Merten and Dr Rome perform breast implant surgery in a fully accredited hospital, with the assistance of a consultant anesthetist. Generally an overnight hospital stay is required although you may choose day surgery. Recovery depends on the individual patient and you would be advised in detail prior to the procedure.
As part of the recovery you may experience swelling and bruising for several weeks as well as over or under sensitive skin. Although rare, complications such as scaring and infection may result from breast augmentation. Pure Aesthetics employs extensive measures to ensure complications are minimised.
When a woman undergoes Breast Augmentation to improve her appearance, complications with surgery can be devastating. Breast Implant Revision can provide immediate benefits to your self-esteem, confidence and the appearance of your breasts.
