Your Anaesthetic

Surgery is usually done under either general anaesthetic or sedation to ensure you are comfortable and pain free. The anaesthetist managing your surgery is a highly trained, experienced, and qualified specialist doctor.

You will be required to fast for at least 6 hours prior to your surgery. This includes food, water, and chewing gum. Your operation may be postponed if you eat or drink before surgery.
