Dr Merten tailors his Breast Enlargement techniques to meet individual patient needs

Sydney, Australia – Dr Steve Merten, a Sydney plastic surgeon, specializes in Breast Enlargement with a focus on natural-looking results. At Pure Aesthetics, his private practice, Dr Merten works to educate patients so they may make the best choices possible in regard to the sizing and material of the implant. He knows there is no one technique or breast implant that is best for all women, and tailors each procedure to achieve unique results for the individual patient.

According to Dr Merten, there are many benefits of Breast Enlargement:

  • Enhanced shape of the breast
  • Enhanced size of the breast
  • Restored fullness that has diminished with age, pregnancy, or weight loss
  • Balanced asymmetries and improved body proportion
  • Improved self-confidence

Dr Merten says that in Australia, silicone gel is the most common material used in Breast Enlargement. Less commonly, saline implants are used. He prefers silicone gel implants because they allow for a more stable maintenance of shape, have a more natural feel, and have excellent long-lasting results.

All patients considering cosmetic surgery – Breast Enlargement included – should have realistic expectations and have healthy, stable personal lives. Dr Merten believes the decision for Breast Enlargement should never be rushed or made at times of personal crisis. The best results are seen in healthy patients who are close to their ideal body weight.

At his Sydney plastic surgery practice, Dr Merten spends significant time with his patients during the consultation process. He wants to ensure patients are educated about all of the options available to them so that they may choose a size and material that yields the results they envision. Prospective Breast Enlargement patients at Pure Aesthetics have a minimum of two preoperative consultations with Dr Merten before any surgery is performed. He adds that careful planning of the surgery and detailed assessment throughout the process are essential to achieving patient satisfaction and aesthetic expectations.
